Preservings

Preservings is the Foundation's main publication, which appears once a year. Delbert F. Plett was its first editor, and it began as the publication of the Hanover Steinbach Historical Society and was devoted to the history of the Mennonite East Reserve in Manitoba. The scope gradually expanded and Preservings became the voice for the history of the Conservative Mennonite peoples of Manitoba, Latin and South America. The Delbert F. Plett Foundation is continuing the publication of Preservings as a publication to preserve and tell the story of the 1870s migrants and their descendents. To subscribe, please send a note to the
office via email. Preservings welcomes submissions of biographies, articles and historical news. Please direct your submissions to the editors using the recommended guidelines.

Suggestions for searching the collection:
Vol 1 to 8 are not text searchable because of the way the original files were created. However, these issues were indexed by Linda Buhler and published in Vol. 14. That index is available below. Our thanks to Eugene Reimer who has done some minor editing of the index and has created links to the pages in the entries. The issues from Vol. 14 to the latest issue are not yet indexed, but are text searchable.
