Policies

Grants are made to individuals, institutions, or organizations.
Grant evaluations will be made on the following criteria:
- clarity of intention
- relevance to the mandate of the Plett Foundation
- track record or qualification of applicant
- feasibility of the project
- contribution to historical knowledge
- impact on community; the intended audience
- appropriateness of cost
- outline of timely completion
Grants may be spread over a number of years.
Other funding partners are encouraged.
Successful grant applicants will be expected to credit the Plett Foundation's contribution to the work by issuing the following as a note or sign: "Published (or erected, constructed, researched) with the assistance of the D. F. Plett Historical Research Foundation, Inc., Steinbach, Manitoba".
