Historical Atlas of the East Reserve

August 19, 2016

Ernie Braun and Glen Klassen’s Historical Atlas of the East Reserve has been receiving a lot of much-deserved good press lately!  The project, which received funding through Plett Foundation Research and Publication Grants, is a great resource for anyone interested in the history of former East Reserve in Manitoba.  The Manitoba Co-operator recently published an article (“New Atlas Documents Mennonite History“) on the book, which was published in 2015 and is now in its third printing.  The atlas has also been getting the attention of the academic and historical worlds, receiving a 2016 Manitoba Day Award from the Association for Manitoba Archives this spring and being nominated for the upcoming Manitoba Historical Society’s Margaret McWilliams Award for best local history.  Congratulations to the authors on a fine publication.
