Mennonites, Land and the Environment: A Global History Conference ( Oct 28-29, 2016)

“Mennonites, Land and the Environment: A Global History Conference” takes place October 28-29, 2016 in Eckhardt Gramatte Hall at the University of Winnipeg.

This free conference will consider Mennonites’ relationship to the land in seven different Mennonite farming communities around the world.  It will include sessions on Mennonites in the former West Reserve of Manitoba and Old Colony Mennonites in Bolivia, as well as ones on Mennonites in Apollonovka, Siberia; Friesland, the Netherlands; Java, Indonesia; Matabo Mission, Zimbabwe; and Kalona, Iowa.
